railroad tracks steel sculpture fishing
Lac Mégantic
Steel, roofing paper, wire, silk, wool, sinker
55 x 35 x 17 inches

Mégantic is an Abenaki word meaning where the fishes are held, or host to many fish. This piece reflects the area around Lac Mégantic in Québec. The forms are never meant to be didactic, but they do have a natural feel, like fishes, birds, or leaves. The pitchfork form is a reference to an agrarian way of life.
